I would like to share some advice on how to know whether you should send your child to school or whether he/she should stay at home. My concern is that if a sick child is sent to school he/she will spread lots of germs to the other students, which could result in them becoming sick as well. Also, if a child is ill, he/she should really stay at home to rest and recuperate.
Please do NOT send your child to school if…
** He/she has a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37.8 C.).or higher
** He/she is throwing up and/or has thrown up during the night
** He/she has diarrhea
** He/she has a strong, frequent cough
** He/she has conjunctivitis
** He/she has head lice
** He/she has an eruption on their skin that has not been diagnosed
by the Doctor
(it may be something like chicken pox that is very contagious)
IF you have any doubts about whether or not your child should be in school, please feel free to stop by my office in the morning before classes. I would be happy to examine your child and assist you in making the best decision for the care of your child.

**El/ella tiene fiebre de 100 grados Fahrenheit (37.8 Celsius) ó más
**El/ella está vomitando o ha vomitado durante la noche
**El/ella tiene diarrea
**El/ella tiene una tos frecuente y persistente
**El/ella tiene conjuntivitis
**El/ella tiene piojos
**El/ella tiene una erupción en su piel que no ha sido diagnosticada por el Doctor (puede ser algo como varicela a que es muy contagioso)
Si usted tiene alguna duda si su hijo(a) debe estar en el colegio, por favor pase por mi oficina en la mañana antes de clases. Yo con gusto examinaré su niño(a) y le ayudaré a tomar la mejor decisión para el cuidado de su niño(a). Gracias por su cooperación. Cualquier pregunta no dudes en llamar.
