Santiago Christian School is a private English speaking Christian school located in Santiago, Dominican Republic.  With a student body of over 650 students, we seek teachers who would like the opportunity to work with us in shaping the hearts and minds of our students. Positions open beginning the 2014-15 school year:

Middle School Principal needed for Grades 6-8. The successful candidate should have an understanding of and preferably experience in leading faculty toward the creation of positive, spiritually nurturing, productive learning environments in which each student’s learning is top priority. Elementary understanding of Spanish is helpful. Position prefers a Master’s degree and 5 years’ experience, a background in Christian Education, and Licensure.

Elementary Teachers needed with two years’ experience preferred. The successful candidate should have an understanding and/or experience with ESL/ELL inclusion strategies in the classroom. Elementary understanding of Spanish is helpful. Position requires an Education degree, background in Christian Education, and Licensure. Previous international teaching experience is a plus. An initial commitment of three years is preferred.

Part Time PE Teacher needed with two or more years of experience at this level, love elementary school students and the challenges, and be a positive influence and leader. Position could involve coaching in addition to teaching PE classes. An elementary understanding of Spanish is extremely helpful. Position requires an Education degree, background in Christian Education, and licensure. Time commitment of 2-3 years is required.

Part Time Elementary Art Teacher  needed who loves students and has a desire to inspire them to appreciate and understand the arts.   An elementary understanding of Spanish is extremely helpful. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, licensure, and agreement with the school’s statement of faith and lifestyle statement.  A background in Christian education and at least two years of teaching experience are preferred. Time commitment of 2-3 years is required.
